eROI Team Gets Dirty at Zenger Farm Off-Site

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

A little manual labor is good for everyone, especially at a beatiful urban farm and wetlands area in Portland called Zenger Farm. In an effort to connect with the community, give back to this organic, sustainable farm, and do some actual physical labor, everyone at eROI headed for the farm Friday afternoon.

Garrett Gonzales was the Ansel Adams of the day (mainly to avoid physical labor), but he took some great shots at this slideshow. Check out the pics >>

Portland Ad Fed Softball Gets Tough

Friday, July 13th, 2007

One of our programmers is a line-drive hitter and a lefty. This, my friend, is a dangerous combo for the fielding team’s second baseperson. This week’s game was the first of the season and it started out with a bang. Even though I didn’t hit the ball, I still have that “Ouch” expression every time I see this photo. Read more about it on the Boo Boos Journal blog >>

It reminds me a bit of the picture of our own Creative Director Sam White when he didn’t hit a project deadline. Read more about it at www.SendaHighFive.com >>

eroi-holiday-video0.jpg

If you haven’t had a chance to watch our holiday video, you are missing out on a few good laughs. It’s home-grown, hand made, and poor video production, but the content is original and it’s always fun to watch a group of people that really enjoy one another and have a good time.Check out the eROI Holiday Video >>

Some E-Marketers Know how to Party

Friday, July 7th, 2006

The eROI 2006 party got off to a good start and finished strong.

Over 400 clients and friends joined the eROI team at our office in NW Portland (Waterfront Pearl District area) to network, enjoy some frozen marguritas, dacquiris, and other assorted drinks, chow down on Russel Street BBQ goodies, and watch DJ Joel Skool mix it up with some notable acid jazz funk band members.

Sam Rides a Pony

Thursday, May 11th, 2006

Sam is a designer at eROI. He really likes ponies. Since he was a boy, he always dreamed of riding a tiny, shaggy pony. On a client trip to the Oregon Coast, he got his chance. He sent this photo to me in an email today. We are so proud of you Sam.

Email Maketing Needs to be Creative

Monday, March 6th, 2006

So after moving in, we were rewarded with some new toys. I mean Darts, Foosball, Guns and Liquor should have been enough for anyone, but we needed a Lil’ Chick.

This new Green Machine is the envy of inter-office transporation. Living in a “Bike Friendly” city like Portland, we needed to bring the bike inside to really hold up to the hype.

And who can’t solve problems better with an increase in blood flow? We know Lil’ Jeff can.

Wear Short Shorts Office Olympics Video

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

We really wanted to get into the holiday spirit and something went terribly wrong. Somehow, I ended up in short shorts looking like John McEnroe in the 70’s without the hair. This video is troubling but strangely amusing – check it out if you get a chance:

Don’t forget to vote on what Office Olympics event we should do next. The “Drunken Tricycle Race” seems to be leading the pack, but don’t let that influence your decision. Check out the full site (if time allows).

Here is what some people have voted for as the next Office Olympics event:

  • Paper Snowshoeing (insert foot into plastic band)
  • Office capture the flag!
  • office dodgeball
  • office tetherball
  • office kickball

Come up with your own event. Tell us what you want.
